we had a visitor!

we had a visitor on friday. i came home for lunch and as i opened the door to go back to work what did i see? mrs mcduck!

thats what charlotte calls her. she says that mrs mcduck is a politician and the reason why she wanders away from the canal and into the streets is to canvas for votes.

you can see the pavement in front of our door in the photo. our door opens onto the parking lot belonging to the flat – not the most beautiful view.

here’s mrs mcduck posing. she was quite happy to have her photograph taken because she wants to raise awareness for her campaign. apparantly one of her policies is to have bread dispensers on the canal.

here she is walking past our neighbours’ front door.

before i knew it, though, she was off and into the street again. i had to bribe her with some bread to make her stay a bit longer.

she had a nibble but couldn’t stay long. very dedicated woman, mrs mcduck.

    She’s got my vote!

I’m ashamed to admit that I am so bad about keeping up with the news of the world that it wasn’t until today that I found out about the car bombings being averted AND found out who the new Prime Minister is. News just isn’t my favorite thing in the world, but that is pretty sad.

well, with the news always being so jolly i don’t really blame you…

i’ll tell her she’s got a voter. she’s quite bossy, so i’m pleased that i’ll be able to tell her that 🙂

and chris… you sly dog, you!

Add my vote for mrs mcduck! We’ve been hearing for years over here across the pond about the need for bread dispenses along the canal. I like hearing from a canidate who’s not afraid to tackle the “big” issues.
